i'm a genius

i'm sure alot of you know about this, but for those who don't, here is the ultimate way to become a genius WHILE PROCRASTINATING AT THE SAME TIME!!! as we know, knowledge is power, and woudlnt it be great if we could learn everything while being lazy.

usually at work, when i have nothing to do and a few hours to kill to get my $$$, i'll open up wikipedia and take a random look. i might look up something i bumped into earlier, or i might go to the front page and look up the article of the day.

the beauty (and danger) of wikipedia is that it is LINKS HEAVEN!!! which means that its impossible for me to read just one article. i'll read a billion each time go to wikipedia (not withstanding the fact that there are only 1,383,000 articles in the english section; since i now have a wikipedia doctorate of all languages so i can read the articles in other languages too). i just read an article, and queue up the rest of the links to read next.

lately i've been reading heaps of stuff about religion and mythology, heaps interesting. and now i can say i'm an expert on dead languages... what useful knowledge! theres even an article on 巴士阿叔 which shows that wikipedia truly contains all world knowledge.

pingping, i think wikipedia is blocked in china, which is pretty annoying. i guess the government also knows that knowledge is power, and there are plenty of controversial views expressed inside wikipedia articles. since ur in thailand, (where i hope its not blocked) you can join me in my quest to be come MASTER OF ALL KNOWLEDGE - i'll accept you as my disciple.

heres the link to wikipedia in chinese. for all you other infidels that only read english, heres the english link, although wikipedia is already so prevalent (in aus, anyway) that this is probably old news.

i figure in the future i might document a particularly enlightening session of wikipedia bludging in my blogs... just to let you know my qualifications.
